First-Degree Felony

  • Prison Term: 15 years to life.
  • Mandatory 15-year minimum if the defendant caused serious bodily harm.

Lesser Sentences for 1st Degree Felony: Judges may impose a 6- or 10-year mandatory minimum sentence if they find it serves the interests of justice. This departure must be stated on the record.

No Expungement or Reduced Sentences

  • Pleas in abeyance.
