The Utah County Jail is not as big as the Salt Lake County Jail, but not nearly as small to navigate as Juab County or Millard County were you can often just call and get the information you need.
Calling: The county jail is inundated with phone calls and reaching a live person can be difficult. They are trying their best under hard circumstances. Being polite and having your information ready will get you a long ways when dealing with jail staff. Inmate name, date arrested, where arrested, date of birth, police agency, etc.
Phone: 801-851-4302. Be nice.
24/7 Booking Lobby: The inside scoop to getting information fast about someone in the Utah County Jail is to drive down to the 24/7 booking lobby and ask. The 24 hour booking lobby is always staffed who can instantly run your person name and tell you: (1). When they were booked. (2). What crimes they were arrested for. (3). Bail. (4). Anticipated next court hearing date.
Visiting the in-person booking lobby is the best and fastest way to find information, 24/7. Attorneys generally have 24/7 visitation hours outside of meal times.
Most major Utah jails have online inmate searching capabilities. The Utah County online inmate search can be found HERE: https://sheriff.utahcounty.gov/corrections/inmatesearch
For logistical and investigations reasons, the online inmate information can take a few days to post So going to booking is your best option for the most up-to-date charges and bail information.
Public Records Online Search. Xchange: The Utah Courts provide a fee subscription based online court records search via their platform—Xchange.
Xchange can be found HERE: https://www.utcourts.gov/xchange/
Most attorneys have subscriptions. Docket searches can provide a host of information, most importantly: (1). Next court hearing date. (2). Charges. (3). Bail. (4). Proceedings history. (5). Agency, court and date of allegations to name a few.
ATTORNEY JAIL VISITS: Often hiring an attorney to visit the jail and advise the person arrested of their constitutional rights is critical and relieves a lot of stress. Attorney Jake Gunter often visits inmates on weekends and during the weeks. If during off-hours email him at jacobATATprovolawyers.com, or call the office and leave a message on his extension.
